The Cyclone Nargis which struck Myanmar (Burma) on 02 and 03 May 2008, leaving a death toll of more than 100,000 has made headline news throughout the world.

Although government and relief organisations are trying to provide the necessary support that is required by the cyclone victims, the damage of it is unaccountable and victims from lots of areas impacted by cyclone still need help a lot from us.

To be able to support them long-term, not just once, the Panditarama Sydney Meditation Centre Inc. has set up a Committee to collect funds and work closely with reliable local links to provide effective liaison and coordination of response and recovery services to those affected by the disaster. The committee thus formed is named Panditarama Committee for Myanmar Cyclone Nargis Relief Fund.

Likewise there are other groups (organisations) formed in Australia to raise funds to assist the cyclone victims.
